Tex identified the gap in the Baja luxury market in 2012 and spent a year living in Los Cabos before committing to build the first Barker Development estate. Over the past twelve years he has personally overseen every project, client relationship, and vendor selection. His dual fluency in North American buyer psychology and Mexican construction culture is the foundation of every successful outcome Barker Development has delivered.
Sofia is a Mexican national with a degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and a decade of experience designing high-end residential projects across Los Cabos and Mexico City. She leads all architectural direction and interior design decisions at Barker Development, bringing an intuitive understanding of how light, wind, and landscape interact in Baja's unique environment. Every design that leaves her desk is both a work of art and a functional masterpiece.
Carlos brings 20 years of construction experience in Los Cabos — including projects for some of the region's most prestigious private residences and resort developments. He manages every subcontractor relationship, material procurement timeline, and inspection process. His relationships with certified engineers, notarios, and government permitting offices in BCS have eliminated weeks of delay from our build timelines. When Carlos says a delivery date, it happens.
